American band N.E.R.D. (stands for No One Ever Really Dies) that is famous for its interesting attitude to music creation was formed in 2001 by Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo and Shay Haley. Many musical experts agreed that due to that project the artists managed to show their incredible potential in a full scale. Indeed, N.E.R.D.’s creations are extremely popular and the amount of the band’s fans grows every year, which is not a surprise: distinctive songs, including elements of various genres and styles in a successful way were really enjoyed by music lovers all around the world.

N.E.R.D.’s debut studio attempt titled In Search Of... was released in 2001. The next year Pharrell and Chad decided to create something truly new, so they re-recorded that album alongside with the rock-band Spymob. As the result the issue of 2002 got more powerful and live sound and it was very well received by listeners and critics who noted wonderful atmosphere of the record. Release of the following long play Fly Or Die took place in 2003. The musicians showed the transition to the live sound not only during the studio work but also during the concerts: Pharrell and Chad began to learn how to play the instruments and sometimes they were accompanied and helped by the rockers from Spymob. The album Fly Or Die debuted in the top lines of Billboard 200 in a very confident way and soon it was certified Gold. Thus, it managed to repeat the success of its predecessor In Search Of....

N.E.R.D. was disbanded in 2005 because of some difficulties with the record companies. Nevertheless the group continued playing the concerts and with the help of their fans’ support the musicians began working on the new material for the third album. Sure thing it was not difficult for N.E.R.D. to find a new label, so their fresh long play Seeing Sounds saw the light in 2008. It is definitely worth mentioning that critics agreed that Seeing Sounds turned out to be the band’s best work and that fact says a lot about the highest quality of that studio attempt. Two years later N.E.R.D. pleased their fans by the new record titled Nothing (2010). Its singles Hot N' Fun and Hypnotize U that had been issued before the album’s release became some kind of proof of the high-class of the following long play and all the expectations were satisfied. Traditionally strong album will be enjoyed not only by the band’s old fans but also by all the connoisseurs of high quality music with original attitude.
