Oscar-nominated songs banned from the ceremony
Songs nominated for Oscar will be not performed at this years’ ceremony – for the first time in the history of the awards. Live performance will be replaced by music videos. Oscar organizers have not yet given a reason for their decision.

Jack White and Karen O were not nominated for Oscar
The list of nominees for this year's Academy Awards was announced yesterday, on February 2. Original Song category does not feature neither Jack White nor Karen O, who were considered to be the main favorites for the Oscar award for this award.
