Electronica is a wide term that includes any music with electronic musical instruments or electronic music technology as a central aspect of the sound. Expirements with electronic music has began at the end of XIX century. But its true evolution has begun in the second half of XX century with the fast development of electronic music instruments.

Word "electronica" features a wide range of music genres. It includes electronic dance music, designed for nightclubs, but, at the same time, electronic music can be intended for foreground listening, musical illustration or something else. That is why electronic music can vary from fast and rhythmic compositions to very slow and meditative melodies.
