Biography

The band Limp Bizkit, which is considered to be one of the pioneers of nu-metal and rap-core, was formed in the middle of nineties in Florida. Everything started when the vocalist Fred Durst met the bassist Sam Rivers. Then they were joined by the drummer John Otto, and a bit later the musicians welcomed an outstanding guitarist Wes Borland. Soon the quartet was joined by DJ Lethal, an ex-member of the famous hip-hop group House Of Pain. Thereby the line-up was finally completed, and it was the time to think about the band’s name. After searching through many variants, Sam Rivers exclaimed that his brains turned into “limp biscuit” because of all these names. The unexpected phrase was so much loved by Fred Durst that he simply changed the spelling and the quintet stopped being nameless.
