Adele described her new album as "cheeky and sarcastic"Adele revealed some details about her upcoming album 21. According to the singer, it will be "more upbeat, more cheeky, more sarcastic" than her debut record, 2007's effort named 19. At the same time, it will show that she has "grown up" since the work on previous album.

"I'm more grow-up about things now. I'm less bitter about things. But I do think that's because I'm a bit older. I mean, I'm not a proper adult yet, I'm still only 21", said Adele.

She added: "I think with my first record everyone thought I was really serious but I'm not. It's about the same things but about a different guy".

Earlier Adele gave another reason why the new album will be much different from her previous work.

"I discovered lots of artists I'd never heard of, particularly Wanda Jackson, Allison Krauss, Andrew Bird, Neko Case, Lady Antebellum and Steel Drivers who I fell in love with. Then I delved in to more from artists I've loved forever - Mary J. Blige, Kanye West, Elbow, Mos Def, Alanis Morissette, Tom Waits and. There's something in every single one of these artists that has really inspired 21", revealed Adele.

21 is set to be released on January 24. The studio effort will be preceded by the single Rolling In The Deep, which will hit the stores on January 16.
