Adele and her team topped The Guardian's annual list of the most influential persons in British music industry. Singer was placed higher than Universal Music Group CEO Lucian Grainge, who became second, and famous music and TV producer Simon Cowell, who was third.
The Black Eyed Peas' Will.I.Am was put on eleventh place, Radiohead became fourteenth, while Lady GaGa was named only eighteenth.
List creators pointed that through this year Adele's second studio effort 21 was one in every ten albums bought in the UK.
Earlier Adele claimed she was not surprised that 21 has become very successful. According to the singer, it happened due to her struggle to make 21 as "expressive" as possible.
"I think I deserved it. I tried to make this record very expressive, to put all my feelings in it. At the same time, I have made a huge step forward in terms of music and style", said she.
