Arcade Fire decided to release their third studio album The Suburbs with eight different covers, says US press. According to the reports, this information was unveiled by ADA (Alternative Distribution Alliance), the company that distributes and manufactures records owned by indie labels.
Neither Arcade Fire nor their record label Merge have yet confirmed these reports.
Arcade Fire already revealed cover for the upcoming record, which can be seen on the left, and its tracklisting – The Suburbs will feature 16 songs, including earlier premiered tracks Month Of May and We Used To Wait.
According to Arcade Fire, the work on The Suburbs continued during past two years in Montreal and New York. The record was produced by Markus Dravs, who worked on the band’s previous album Neon Bible.
Arcade Fire said that the album itself would be «more upbeat» than their previous works, although it would be based on the band's «usual heavy-orchestral string arrangements».
