Beyonce has topped the recently compiled chart of the artists who released most number of golden and platinum records in last ten years. Created by RIAA, this list includes cumulative sales of albums, singles, master ringtones and music videos.
Beyonce topped the list with 64, followed by The Eagles with 46 and Michael Jackson with 44.
For instance, Beyonce’s last record I Am... Sasha Fierce, which hit the stores in November 2008, has become two times platinum.
Taylor Swift leads in separate chart for digital music sales with 25, followed by Kanye West with 19 and Linkin Park with 13.
The list of the biggest selling albums of the last ten years was topped by 'N Sync’s No Strings Attached, released in 2000, and OutKast’s Speakerboxxx, which hit the stores in 2003. Both of them turned out to be 11 times platinum.
Track Low by rapper Flo Rida was named the top-selling single, as it became five times platinum. Lollipop by Lil Wayne appeared to be the most popular ringtone of the last decade.
