Bjork has written a song for upcoming children movie about the Moomins. Titled The Moomins, the film is based on the 1980s children's TV series of the same name, which, in its turn, derives from the classic book by Finnish writer Tove Jansson.
Bjork claimed that she always was a big Moomin fan and usually wore «some T-shirts with the characters' depictions».
The movie, shot by Finnish company Filmkompaniet, is set to be premiered next summer. Bjork’s song The Comet Song will become its main theme. Although, it is not yet clear if Bjork will record it herself or if it will be performed by another artist.
Bjork’s last to date album Volta was released in 2007.
