More than 300 pieces of memorabilia belonging to famous musicians such as The Beatles, Nirvana and others were sold at once at the at Christie's auction in New York. Together they generated a total of $650,000.
The most popular item was a souvenir poster of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album by The Beatles, which was sold for $52,500. One of the guitars, which belonged to Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain, generated $43,750, while handwritten lyrics by Bob Dylan, signed by singer himself, raised $25,000.
At the same time, only 70% of 300 items were sold.
