"I wanted to throw up. Whenever you see me giving up a lot of attitude that means I'm terrified. I felt like I was going to retch at the side of the stage", said he.

U2 played on Friday night, June 24, headlining the first day of Glastonbury. Their set list was based on the 1991's album Achtung Baby. Earlier U2 drummer Larry Mullen confirmed reports that Glastonbury performance caused confrontations between band's members. According to the singer, they argued about the set list for the performance.

Mullen claimed: "Everybody has a view on how it should go. There's the Where The Streets Have No Names camp and then there's the more subtle approach, the Achtung Baby dynamic approach, where you build slowly... Then there are those who think we should open with 40 (from 1983 album War). It goes on. There are an awful lot of opinions".

Held during June 24-26, Glastonbury festival also featured performances by Beyonce, Elbow, Primal Scream, The Chemical Brothers and others.
