BRIT Awards winners' popularity roseAccording to the Official Charts Company, winners and performers of the recent BRIT Awards-2009 have seen their record’s sales increased greatly after the ceremony.

For example, Duffy’s debut album Rockferry was downloaded four times more after the singer has won three awards. Her singles Warwick Avenue, Mercy, Rain On Your Parade and her cover of Paul McCartney's song Live And Let Die were downloaded twice as much as before.

Elbow, who were named Best British Group, saw a similar rise in sales of their album The Seldom Seen Kid. The same comes for The Ting Tings, Estelle and Coldplay, although they have not won any awards.

Several BRIT Awards participants, including Coldplay, The Killers, U2 and Take That performed a show in support of War Child charity organization on January 19 in London.
