Rock band British Sea Power has joined the list of artists who devoted their songs to the performance of England national football team at the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa. New track, titled Football (Kick It In The Goal), appeared yesterday on British Sea Power official website.
According to the musicians, it was composed by the band's guitarist Martin Noble. You can listen to it here.
Earlier this month UK rapper Dizzee Rascal and comedian James Corden have recorded an official anthem of England national team at the FIFA World Cup 2010. Titled Shout For England, its actually a mixture of two songs from 80’s – Shout’s Tears For Fears and No Diggity by Blackstreet.
US rock band We Are Scientists also has recorded a song for the England national football team at the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2010. Titled Goal! England, it features ex-Razorlight drummer Andy Burrows.
Back in spring, Robbie Williams and comedian Russell Brand recorded new version of the song Three Lions, the unofficial anthem of English national football team. Original composition was written and performed by The Lightning Seeds, and released ahead of 1996 UEFA European Football Championship.
British Sea Power last to date album Man Of Aran hit the stores in 2009.
