Coldplay have denied that hit Viva La Vida was ripped off from some other’s artist music. «It's tough when people accuse you of stealing something when you know that you didn't. We accept that it's part of the territory and know it is only for some reason the successful songs that seem to be the ones that are accused of being stolen. So you go figure it out», said the band’s drummer Will Champion.

However, Yusuf Islam said yesterday: «I stand by what I said. They did copy my song but I don't think they did it on purpose. I have even copied myself without even knowing I have done it. I'll write down what I think is a good melody and realize it's the same as something I have already done».

Viva La Vida became the lead single from the band’s last album Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends. Chris Martin and his bandmates are currently working on a new disk produced by Brian Eno. Coldplay already revealed that they would be experimenting with rave music on this record.
