Coldplay set new world recordColdplay have become the first artists to sell more than one million digital albums in US. They also set a record for the whole world with two million digital albums sold.

These figures include sales of Coldplay's four studio albums (Parachutes – 2000, A Rush Of Blood To The Head – 2002, X&Y – 2005, Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends – 2008), as well as downloads of live album LeftRightLeftRightLeft (which hit the stores in May 2009) and other official releases.

All in all Coldplay have sold over 50 million albums. Chris Martin and his band are currently touring in support of their last album Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends.

This week Coldplay have finished the work on the new music video for the song Strawberry Swing. It was created by Shynola, the group of four visual artists based in London, who previously collaborated with Radiohead, Blur and Beck. Their movie, drawn entirely in chalk, shows Chris Martin fighting with a giant squirrel.
