Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor is currently recording together with Velvet Revolver. The information emerged earlier this week as rumors, and was recently confirmed by the band's guitarist Duff McKagan.
"We recorded a bunch of songs with Corey Taylor. I think he's great – he's the best voice of a new generation and I'd be proud to do anything with him", claimed he.
At the same time, Duff McKagan pointed that Corey Taylor would not become Velvet Revolver's constant frontman. He also claimed that Velvet Revolver would not perform live until autumn.
"The truth is, I can't see Velvet Revolver happening until fall. Slash is touring, I'm just starting to tour – we'll just have to see. I don't have an answer", said he.
Last month Slipknot announced that they have found someone to temporary replace Paul Gray. Donnie Steele is set to play with the band during its tour this summer. It is unknown if he stays with them further. Donnie Steele was the original member of Slipknot, but left the band in 1996.
