Daft Punk recorded their new album without synthesizersDaft Punk spoke about the work on their new album, which features a soundtrack for upcoming Tron: Legacy movie. According to the band's members, they tried to distance themselves from electronic music, and even decided not to use synthesizers – all to make their music "timeless".

Tomas Bangalter, one part of the duo, claimed: "We wanted to make it timeless. A cello was there 400 years ago and will be still here in 400 years but synthesizers that were invented 20 years ago will probably be gone in the next 20".

Earlier Daft Punk revealed tracklist for their new album. The record includes 22 songs, one of them is earlier unveiled single Derezzed.

The album is set to hit the stores on December 6, prior to the movie's premiere on December 17.
