Danger Mouse and David Lynch album finally got the release dateDark Night Of The Soul album by famous American producer and musician Joseph Burton, also known as Danger Mouse, finally got the release date. It was recorded by Burton in collaboration with David Lynch about a year ago, but did not hit the stores due to legal dispute with Danger Mouse’s record label EMI.

That time Danger Mouse even wished that the album would be stolen and posted online. «I hope that people lucky enough to hear the music, by whatever means, are as excited by it as I am», said producer.

However, in January Danger Mouse worked out his dispute with EMI, so the album’s release was set for July. The record is now dedicated to folk singer Vic Chesnutt, who contributed to the record, and died in December 2009.

Dark Night Of The Soul features music by Danger Mouse and vocals by such artists as The Strokes' Julian Casablancas, Iggy Pop and Frank Black. It is set to be released with a book featuring photographs by David Lynch.

In 2009, the book of David Lynch’s photos hit the stores independently, bearing a blank CD with words: «For Legal Reasons, enclosed CD contains no music. Use it as you will».
