Dr.Dre also promised to release first single from the album within two weeks. Titled Under Pressure, this song was recorded in collaboration with Jay-Z.

Detox was originally set to be released in 2004, but has been delayed several times. Rapper usually explains the delays by his work on the albums of other artists – for example, he did not release Detox in 2009 because he was busy producing Eminem’s albums Relapse and Relapse 2.

Detox will become Dr.Dre’s third and, according to the rapper, last studio album. His previous record, named 2001, hit the stores in 1999.
