Famous rock-musician Iggy Pop claimed that he may record new album with his band The Stooges after they finish the Raw Power tour. According to the singer, he was inspired by The Stooges’ former guitarist James Williamson, who re-joined the band for the aforementioned tour.
«He is already on me like a greased cat. He's sending me riffs, so I did some vocals to a couple of them and it's starting to sound like something», said Iggy Pop. He added that new album may also feature several tracks by The Stooges’ late guitarist Ron Asheton, who passed away last year.
Iggy Pop also claimed that he thought about recording an album of songs which he has written in the past but never released officially.
The Stooges’s last to date album The Weirdness was released in 2007. The band will also reissue its third album Raw Power in April this year.
