Jack White and Jimmy Page hit out at Guitar HeroLed Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page and Jack White have slammed popular Guitar Hero video game series at the joint press conference in Los Angeles. Both musicians claimed that they were not considering video games as a proper way for people to be exposed to music. Page and White also said that they did not like their music to be included in such games.

The White Stripes and The Raconteurs frontman Jack White said: «It's depressing to have a label come and tell you that Guitar Hero is how kids are learning about music and experiencing music. I do not try to dictate which format people should get their music in, but if you have to be in a video game to get in front of them, that's a little sad».

Jimmy Page added that people can never learn to play music instruments through Guitar Hero and other videogames. «You think of the drum part that John Bonahm did on Led Zeppelin's first track on the first album Good Times Bad Times. How many drummers in the world can play that part, let alone on Christmas morning?» said he.

Press conference itself was devoted to an upcoming documentary movie It Might Get Loud that will feature Jimmy Page, U2 guitarist The Edge, Jack White and a number of other musicians. Directed by Academy Award-winning director Davis Guggenheim, the creator of An Inconvenient Truth, it will tell the story about master guitarists' evolution and show how each person can become skilled musician at a very young age.
