Jack White to work on solo album

Jack White to work on solo albumJack White, frontman of The White Stripes, The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather, announced plans to record his first solo album. According to the musician, he was going to start the work in the nearest future and finish it within a year. However, White claimed that he did not want to set the exact dates.

«It would be a mistake for me to premeditate anything, even in the next six months, to say what I'm going to do. I honestly could be working on The White Stripes’ album in the next two weeks. I have no idea if that is going to happen. And the same with The Dead Weather. I'd rather live like this without a calendar in front of me», said he.

Singer also claimed that upcoming album would become the first record on which he played all music instruments himself: «I've never played everything myself. I thought about that. That might be the challenge - to differentiate from anything else that I've done».

Earlier Jack White claimed that he was going to spend winter working on The Dead Weather’s second album. The band’s first record, Horehound, was released in July 2009.
