Jay-Z and Lady GaGa were invited to perform at this years’ MTV Video Music Awards ceremony. The list of recently announced participants also includes Nelly Furtado, Katy Perry and Ne-Yo.
Earlier it was announced that MTV Video Music Awards 2009 will feature Green Day and Pink. They will be joined by Muse, who promised to premiere new single Uprising at the ceremony, and american country singer Taylor Swift.
MTV Video Music Awards 2009 will take place on September 13 in New York City's Radio City Music Hall. The event will be hosted by comedian Russell Brand for the second year in a row.
Lady GaGa along with Beyonce leads the nominations for the MTV Video Music Awards 2009. Each of the pop-stars was nominated for nine awards, including Video of the Year category. The main award can also be won by Kanye West, Eminem and Britney Spears.
