A new documentary about Jimi Hendrix, shot in reality TV show style, is set to be released in upcoming months. It will be based on a previously unreleased footage shot in 1969, during one of musician’s tours, and show his life between concerts.
Also, a unique tape featuring previously unheard records by Jimi Hendrix will be auctioned in April. It features him playing and rehearsing songs from the album Electric Ladyland, which was released in 1968. It is expected to be sold for up to £100 000.
The tape was given by Hendrix himself to his neighbor, Carl Niekirk, in exchange for some kind of service. Carl later presented it to his sister, who sold the tape to the owners of London's Cafe Music Studios.
