Oasis singer Liam Gallagher was named the best frontman in rock music ever in a special poll by Q Magazine. Gallagher went ahead of U2’s Bono, who became second, and Queen’s Freddie Mercury, who was put on a third place. Blur’s leader Damon Albarn became fourth, followed by Coldplay’s Chris Martin.
Liam Gallagher himself claimed he was not surprised with the results. «There is Elvis Presley and me. I couldn't say which of the two is best», - said Oasis frontman.
Top-10 also features Matt Bellamy from Muse, The Doors’ Jim Morrison, Bob Marley and two members of The Beatles – Paul McCartney and John Lennon.
Surprisingly, such artists as Mick Jagger from The Rolling Stones and Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin are not featured in this list.
