Lil' Wayne’s album went on sale by mistakeLast week Amazon online store mistakenly shipped about 500 copies of Lil' Wayne’s new album Rebirth to the people who pre-odered it. According to the US media, this is the reason why rappers duo with Eminem, titled Drop The World, leaked online. It is currently unknown if Lil' Wayne and his record label will take any actions against Amazon.

Rebirth was set to be released in April, but later it was delayed until December 15. However, recently Lil Wayne claimed that it would hit the stores on February 1.

Rebirth is set to become Lil Wayne’s first ever rock-album. According to Wayne’s friend, hip hop star Drake, Wayne was inspired to change direction by Kanye West who prefered singing to rapping on his latest album 808s And Heartbreak.

Apart from duo with the Eminem, the album will feature collaborations with Blink-182, Lenny Kravitiz and Fall Out Boy.

Another long-awaited album by Lil Wayne – Tha Carter IV – was also postponed until 2010.
