Linkin Park challenged MuseLinkin Park frontman Chester Bennington claimed that he and his bandmates considered Muse to be the best live act in the world. He also expressed his hope that after Linkin Park’s upcoming headline slot at Sonisphere festival this title would go to his band.

«Muse one of the best - if not the best - live performing bands in the world at the moment. We need to fucking kick some ass», claimed he.

Bennington added that Metallica, who will also perform at Sonisphere, is another band that may have a claim to be named best live act: «I think those kind of bands elevate you as a player. You either need to shoot up and show up or you need to put your tail between your legs and hope you get through it».

Sonisphere festival, scheduled to take place on August 2, will also feature Nine Inch Nails, Bullet For My Valentine, Machine Head and Mastodon.

Linkin Park released their last album Minutes To Midnight in 2007.
