Metallica frontman James Hetfield claimed that he and his bandmates were "freaking happy" after their track Master Of Puppets topped the list of the greatest metal songs ever. The chart was based on the special poll held by Gibson guitar manufacturer.
"Already heard about that. We are freaking happy to hear we are the best. Always great when fans praise you", he wrote on his Facebook page.
The Top-50 features another three tracks by Metallica One, Enter Sandman and Fade To Black. Judas Priest claimed the biggest number of songs in the list seven.
Ace Of Spades by Motorhead finished on the second place, followed by Ozzy Osbourne's Crazy Train. Iron Man by Black Sabbath and The Number Of The Beast by Iron Maiden occupied fourth and fifth accordingly.
