Muse and The Horrors are willing to record 2012 Olympics anthem Both Muse and The Horrors expressed their desire to work on the anthem for 2012 Olympic Games in London. Muse drummer Dominic Howard claimed that his band wanted to get involved because the event would take place «at their home». «Since it’s here in London, sure we want to work. We’ve got a new song, so maybe we could use that», said he.

The Horrors also claimed that they already had written song titled Olympia, adding that they would like to play it live for London mayor Boris Johnson. Speaking about the track, The Horrors’ Rhys Webb claimed: «It would be a lot better than whatever they choose, that’s for sure».

Former member of British rock band New Order Bernard Sumner also said he was willing to write the track. In 1990 Bernard Sumner penned an anthem for the England football team.
