Muse states that «record companies are becoming useless»Muse musicians praised Radiohead’s decision to post their album In Rainbows online and allow fans to decide how much they want to pay for the download. Muse think that this move will make record labels useless.

«Bands are constantly thinking of the best ways to release music and a band like that doing it on their own shakes up the record companies and helps them realise that they are gradually becoming more and more useless», said drummer Dom Howard.
