My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way spoke about the band's upcoming album Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys. According to his words, this studio effort may become the last record for the band – and that is why they were "extremely brutal" with choosing which songs to include in it.
"This record could be our last big adventure. There are songs that, if we'd been talking a year ago, would have been the first and second singles, but now no longer exist. We rewrote the record", said Gerard Way.
Earlier Gerard Way revealed that the recording of the Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys was "most difficult" in its history. According to his words, they worked hard in hope to repeat the success of their previous record The Black Parade.
Another problem was the departure of the band's drummer Bob Bryar. "It was so bad. The vibe wasn't good. Everything up to that point, it felt like we'd kind of been in this kind of hiatus. As artists that really equals death", said he.
