Nirvana will reissue their classic single Smells Like Teen Spirit. It will be released as a 7'' inch vinyl later this month to back-up Facebook campaign launched by the band's fans, who are going to make the song Christmas Number One in the United Kingdom.
They want to repeat the success of 2009's campaign and did not let the first place for next X-Factor winner. Two years ago, Rage Against The Machine's track Killing In The Name has left Joe McElderry and his single The Climb on the second position.
The message on Nirvana's Facebook account says: "We've heard about the campaign to get Smells Like Teen Spirit for Christmas Number One in the UK and it looks like the label will re-release the single 7" as a limited edition for the fans".
It was also announced that all proceeds from this release will be donated to children's charity Rhythmix.
