Noel Gallagher phoned Barack ObamaOasis' Noel Gallagher and comedian Russell Brand phoned US president Barack Obama. This happened during the inaugural episode of their TalkSport radio show on April 19. The show is devoted to football, so Brand – who supports West Ham – wanted to ask Obama which team he likes most.

«Dear Barack Obama, we are calling you to find out if you are, in fact, the world's most famous West Ham supporter. I haven't ever seen you at Upton Park stadium. What formation do you suggest coach Gianfranco Zola plays?» said he in a statement left on an answerphone.

TalkSport show was already slammed by Noel Gallagher’s brother Liam, who named Noel and Russell Brand «pair of old housewives» in his blog. In his turn, Noel described Liam as a «rude, arrogant, intimidating and lazy» person during one of his the interviews.

Oasis released their last record Dig Out Your Soul in October 2008.
