Damon Albarn revealed that one of the Oasis’ musicians has recently joined Gorillaz. According to Albarn, the member of Liam Gallaher’s band will accompany Gorillaz during their upcoming tour across UK.
«We have a young lad called Jeff who funnily enough is in Liam Gallaher’s new band», claimed Albarn, adding that it is funny because in 90’s Oasis were main rivals of his band Blur.
Speaking about upcoming tour and the way Gorillaz will perform it, Albarn said: «We have used holograms in the past. But to really successfully put a hologram on the stage you need so much smoke you can't see anything else, or you stretch a piece of very fine transparent film across the stage and project across that. But you can't have any bass, because the film starts rattling. This time we're going out al guns blazing».
Albarn added that Gorillaz would also be accompanied by The Clash’s Paul Simonon and Mick Jones.
The band will tour in support of its recent album Plastic Beach, which hit the stores earlier this month.
