Sir Paul McCartney revealed that he would be eager to perform a duo with his late The Beatles’ bandmate John Lennon. According to McCartney’s words, they have settled down all their discrepancies shortly before Lennon’s death.
«Yeah, we were mates. God, that was so cool. It was the saving grace. Because it got a bit sticky after The Beatles. We were really good mates again», said he.
At the same time McCartney pointed that 30 years ago both of them were cautions about performing together again. «I dunno. We were always a bit nervous of that. Had he lived it might have happened, there was a mellowing. It could have been pretty interesting», - claimed Sir Paul.
After leaving The Beatles, John Lennon released several solo albums, including such successful records as Imagine and Double Fantasy.
McCartney’s last to date album Memory Almost Full was released in 2007.
