Famous English musician and songwriter Peter Gabriel revealed details about his new covers album. It will feature orchestral versions of the songs by famous rock-musicians. Titled Scratch My Back, the record is set to hit the stores in the end of the January.
All in all the album will include covers on 12 tracks, including such songs as David Bowie’s Heroes, Street Spirit by Radiohead and My Body Is A Cage by Arcade Fire.
«The songs are not simply covers. They are major reinterpretations of some famous stuff. It's quite radical», said Gabriel.
He also added that Scratch My Back was only the first title in upcoming series of covers albums.
