Rapper T.I. announced his first album since serving prison termT.I. revealed plans to release new album that will become his first studio effort since serving a one-year prison term. Rapper, who was put in jail one and a half years ago for weapons charges, claimed that the record would feature collaborations with famous hip-hop artists, such as Jay-Z and The-Dream.

His manager said: «T.I. is looking to work with a lot of new guys». The album is set to hit the stores in summer – its release would coincide with the premiere of the Takers movie, crime thriller film in which T.I. plays one of the main roles.

«We did a deal with the film studio Screen Gems for the movie Takers with T.I. Both the album and the film are coming out at the end of the summer. So, yeah, we have a release date», said rapper’s manager.

Previous studio album by T.I., named Paper Trail, hit the stores in 2008.
