Slipknot may split-up after upcoming tour

Slipknot may split-up after upcoming tourSlipknot's frontman Corey Taylor claimed that the band might split-up after upcoming tour. According to his words, it will become the test for the band and will show if they can perform without late bassist Paul Grey.

"I'm not going to spoonfeed false hope to the fans: if this tour doesn't work, the band might be over. Until things make sense for me I'm not going to be a cheerleader – the fans would see through it, and I'd feel terrible being that guy", said he.

These words are completely opposite to those said by drummer Joey Jordison. In April he claimed: "As far as I'm concerned, Slipknot's my baby and I have a bunch of songs written. I'm in rehearsal right now with the guys and it's completely on fire. Honestly, these are going to be some of the most amazing shows we've ever done".

In March Slipknot announced that they have found someone to temporary replace Paul Gray. Donnie Steele is set to play with the band during its tour this summer. It is unknown if he stays with them further.

Donnie Steele was the original member of Slipknot, but left the band in 1996.

Paul Gray was found dead in a hotel room in Des Moines, Iowa in June. According to toxicology tests, the cause of death was an accidental overdose.

Slipknot last to date album All Hope Is Gone hit the stores in 2008.
