Slipknot said that the work on Iowa was "bloody"Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson revealed details about the recording of the band's second studio effort Iowa. According to his words, they worked at the edge of their physical limits – for example, drummer Joey Jordison was playing with his hands bleeding.

"It was brutal. Joey's hands would be bleeding at the end of the day. Every day, his hands would be bandaged up from how hard he was pushing and trying to open the envelope even bigger", claimed Sid Wilson.

Slipknot have re-released Iowa last week. New version has been released on Halloween, 31 October, and consists of two CDs.

The first one includes an album itself, as well as the additional track My Plague. The second one features live recording of Slipknot gig at the London Arena in 2001.

Reissue will also contain DVD with the movie about Slipknot, produced by the band's members.
