Soundgarden are set to reformMembers of famous rock band Soundgarden announced plans to reunite in the nearest future. In 1997 they split up following the conflicts in the band, but, according to their statement, they will definitely have a comeback tour this year. «The 12 year break is over and school is back in session. Knights of the Soundtable ride again!» claimed Soundgarden’s frontman Chris Cornell.

Earlier, Soundgarden reunited several times for single performances at different festivals, but each time they denied the possibility of reforming the band.

Originally Soundgarden formed in 1986 and became one of the creators of grunge music, as well as Nirvana and Pearl Jam. The band’s biggest success is 1994’s album Superunknown and Grammy Award-winning singles Black Hole Sun and Spoonman.
