Spice Girls' songs to be made into musicalMusical based on the songs by Spice Girls is set to be staged in Britain. Titled Viva Forever, it will be premiered in 2012 in London. The plot is set be written by famous English comedy writer Jennifer Saunders and, according to producers, tell "contemporary story about celebrity and fame".

Jennifer Saunders said: "It is very exciting to be writing a musical that encompasses the music and energy of the biggest girl band of all time. My daughters grew up with Spice Girls - I had to write the book for them".

One of the producers of the play is Judy Craymer, who earlier worked on ABBA musical Mamma Mia!, which has turned out to be very successful.
