Brandon Flowers, frontman of The Killers band, revealed some new details about upcoming solo album. The record, which is titled Flamingo, is set to hit the stores this autumn. According to the Flowers, he will go on tour in support of the record this spring.
Singer also claimed that part of the record has been produced by Stuart Price, known for his work with Madonna. Price also collaborated with The Killers on their last album Day & Age.
According to Brandon Flowers, his solo album also features producers Daniel Lanois (who worked with Bob Dylan and U2) and Brendan O'Brien (who collaborated with Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen).
Flowers is not the only member of The Killers who is working on a new album right now – the band’s drummer Ronnie Vannucci is set to release the LP named Mt Desolation, recorded together with the members of Mumford And Sons, Keane and Noah And The Whale.
Last December Brandon Flowers said that rumors about him starting solo career were not true. However, later The Killers announced that their concert in Melbourne on February 21 were the band’s last performance in the near future. According to the official statement, musicians decided to went on «indefinite hiatus» because they wanted to «take a rest from being a band».
The Killers formed in 2002 and released four albums – Hot Fuss (2002), Sam's Town (2004), Sawdust (2007), Day & Age (2008).
