The Ting Tings do not want to take advantages of their success

The Ting Tings do not want to take advantages of their successThe Ting Tings revealed why they decided to record their second album Kunst in Berlin instead of Manchester. According to the band's singer Katie White, they wanted to go abroad because in their native city there were many things and many people to remind them about their success, while they were going to start everything from scratch.

"We didn't want to go back and do the same thing again. One of the reasons why we didn't go back to Manchester was because I think you can go back to Manchester, be a minor celebrity, get a few free drinks. I'd rather just make music", said she.

Earlier Katie White revealed that new album’s sound changed several times during the recording: "We listened back to some of the demos and we thought, hold on a minute, this is sounding too much like we're rocking out live. We bought a couple of old weird synths in New York and smuggled them in our suitcases back to Berlin and they started to come strong on the music".

Kunst release date is set for October. The band already premiered first single from it named Hands.

The Ting Tings' debut album We Started Nothing hit the stores in 2008.
