Famous American rock-band Wilco revealed details of the collaboration with Canadian singer Feist. Together they have recorded a cover Woody Guthrie's song The Jolly Banker that will be included in the band’s upcoming album Wilco (The Album).
The song will also be released as a single through the Web later this month. Fans will be able to download it for free after donating at least two US dollars to Woody Guthrie Foundation And Archives, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of information about Woody Guthrie's vast cultural legacy.
Upcoming Wilco’s album will feature 11 songs, including Deeper Down, Everlasting and track titled Wilco, The Song which the band’s drummer Glenn Kotche described as «a great, upbeat song professing our love for our fans». Wilco (The Album) will also include composition You And I, also recorded together with Feist.
Wilco also announced that they would go on a US tour this summer.
The band’s previous album Sky Blue Sky hit the stores in May 2007.
